Thermal Shock Test Chamber for Automotive Parts

Thermal shock test for automotive parts is a method to test the performance of automotive parts under extreme temperature conditions by utilizing a thermal shock test chamber. The following are some of the common automotive component thermal shock test standards:

ISO 16750-4: Part 4 of the standard for the testing of automotive electrical equipment, which covers cold and thermal shock test methods for testing automotive electrical equipment under extreme temperature conditions.

SAE J1455: The test standard for automotive electrical equipment issued by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), which covers the cold and thermal shock test methods for testing automotive electrical equipment under extreme temperature conditions.

GB/T 2423.22: One of the test standards for automotive parts issued by the National Standardization Committee of China, covering the cold and thermal shock test methods for testing automotive parts under extreme temperature conditions.

JASO D001-94: A test standard for automotive parts issued by Japan Automobile Standards Organization (JASO), which covers the cold and thermal shock test methods for testing automotive parts under extreme temperature conditions.

GMW3172: The test standard for automotive parts issued by General Motors covers the cold and thermal shock test methods for automotive parts tested under extreme temperature conditions.

Among the above standards, ISO 16750-4 and SAE J1455 are mainly applicable to testing the performance of automotive electrical equipment, while GB/T 2423.22, JASO D001-94 and GMW3172 are applicable to testing the performance of automotive components. The hot and cold shock test methods covered in these standards include parameters such as temperature range, number of cycles, shock time, rate of heating/cooling, cooling method, sample size and test time.

When conducting cold and thermal shock tests on automotive components, it is necessary to select the appropriate parameters and test methods according to the specific test requirements and standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test results.
